Ah, thanks for asking! It took me about a few weeks to one month (can't remember that much since I made Rainbow Dash last year)and for Applejack, good news! I'm currently making one and it's shaping real good, I'd say!

This is epic, love the contrasting perspectives with cloudsdale, rainbow zooming out of the design, the Wonderbolts, and her name. It really makes you explore the whole picture cause they are at such interesting angles. And it's Dash, so it HAS to be 20% cooler!:)

Ok, that's a little hard to explain the process here but I'll try to summarize it: first, I check some references by goggling stained-glass art and study the structure, then I draw some rough drafts using Photoshop, then draw the lines based on the draft and finally putting some colors on it (followed by putting some final touches to make it glossier!) Hope that answers your question!
